Barbara Jump, Painter - Southwest Art

Born in Texas and reared in the Southwest, Barbara Jump grew up watching fabulous sunrises and sunsets and wanting to paint them. "My educational focus was commercial art, but my art experience has been in fine art through festivals, fairs and galleries. I work and make my living in Arizona painting the southwest and it's beauty in water media," she says about her work.

"The biggest marketing challenge that I faced as an artist was believing that I could make a living selling my art. Once I accepted that the way I had thought for thirty plus years was wrong and learned to believe in myself, I faced the daily challenges of decision-making and proper focus. I'm finally developing a following for my acrylics on canvas and my larger original watercolors in the higher scale festivals in Scottsdale, Carefree and Tucson," says Jump. "I'm also beginning to get a few sales off my web site."
